I like to think that I see the safari through the eyes of our visitors. Having a background in words rather than animals, something that may seem ordinary to our experienced animal keepers, amazes me – that’s how I know that it’s something our followers would love to see. Every day is a learning experience in this job and getting stuck in can quite literally mean getting stuck! (Mostly in mud and only occasionally in animal poo.) But I’ve always got the camera and a note book on hand to make sure I can share with our audience the behind the scenes view of Knowsley Safari and show the world how important the work we’re doing here is.
